PTA Reflections is a nationally acclaimed student recognition program to encourage artistic creativity in the classroom and at home. Students of all grades and abilities may participate and explore the arts based on the 2016-2017 theme:

Iowa PTA State Reflections Forms
The search is on for a future National PTA Reflections theme! One exceptional theme will be chosen on February 1, 2017 to inspire creativity for the 2018-2019 PTA Reflections program theme. The winner will receive $100 and recognition at the Annual National PTA Convention. Theme Search judges look for a focused and clear theme promoting PTA values that is appropriate for all grades and applicable to all arts categories. Congratulations to the 2016 Theme Search Contest Winner, Ben Berselli of Shady Grove PTA, VA. Ben’s theme Within Reach will be featured as the 2017-2018 PTA Reflections program theme.
- Congratulations to the 2015 Theme Search Contest Winner, Brianna Eisman of Douglas Anderson PTSA, FL. Brianna’s theme What Is Your Story? will be featured as the 2016-2017 PTA Reflections program theme.
All local unit leaders and participating students are responsible for reading and understanding both the General Contest Rules and Category Rules that apply to their artwork.
- State Reflections entries will be accepted through Friday, January 27, 2017. All entries must be accompanied by a signed, completed entry form. Detailed submission instructions are included in the Local Leaders Guide.
- Local PTA Chairs will be notified of State judging results by March 7, 2017. State winners will be notified by the Iowa Reflections Chair and invited to attend the Awards Ceremony.
- Winning State artwork will be displayed and awards presented during the Iowa State Convention in Newton in April, 2017. Unclaimed awards will be sent to local units to distribute to those students unable to attend the ceremony. Top award winning artwork may need to be sent to National PTA for judging.
